Taking the vision of one of the best mixologists in the country and bringing it to life through images is no simple task, but our team rose to the challenge admiringly… without a single drop of alcohol!
With Patrice Plante, the project’s instigator, whom people call Monsieur Cocktail, the head mixologist at restaurant and bar L’Atelier, we put together a wonderful book, including 50 recipes and a host of photographs that stand head-to-head with the most beautiful cooking books you can find. The secret: an ounce of daring, three ounces of know-how, and two dashes of madness to make L’Atelier the new art of the cocktail Bible.
Patrick’s project was to offer, in French for the first time, a complete volume on the science of liquid cuisine (recipes, stories, techniques, tools) that could be used by both professionals and amateurs. Whether it was the visual style of the photos, the choice of paper, the cover and binding, the prestige of such a work had to be highlighted and remind readers, with a touch of copper, of the era when mixology was born.
