CHIC by Le Germain #17, Germain Hôtels

Context
If Vogue met Condé Nast Traveler on Canadian ground, it would probably yield CHIC by Le Germain magazine (in all humility)! Drawing our inspiration from the most elegant travel and fashion magazines, we offer visitors to the Groupe Germain Hôtels establishments a way to discover Canada through the eyes of its creators, restaurant owners and artists. In every issue (bilingual, just like our beautiful country!), the hotel concierges reveal their favourite spots to enjoy a trendy vacation. Going out, eating, discovering, learning: everything is there, for every city where a magnificent Le Germain hotel can be found.
Montreal director and actress Monia Chokri poses on the cover of CHIC’s 17th issue, where she talks about her travel yearnings and her desire to settle down… at least for a while. Through the magazine’s pages, Le Germain Hotel Montreal reveals its recent metamorphosis and new sixties-inspired design. Writer Kim Thúy celebrates four Canadian authors, making us want to keep warm and read. From east to west, we explore Canadian cuisine in four gourmet spots and open a bottle of fine local wine with renowned sommelier Karyne Duplessis Piché. We share our concierges’ top recommendations across the country and, finally, we head for St. John’s and admire its rugged beauty. This 17th issue should be savoured slowly, in tune with autumn’s quiet pace.

Strategy
CHIC by Le Germain came out of a shared passion for amazing encounters, favourite spots, and the curiosity to discover what makes Canada such a wonderful place to live and visit. We are in charge of the entire process, from concept to printing and distribution, through graphic design, writing and translation, leading to a biannual turnkey product elegantly embodying the Groupe Germain Hôtels values.
