Context of the mandate
For a second year, the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) has recognized once again Maison 1608’s expertise in tourism by enlisting us to produce its annual magazine. Guaranteed to ignite readers’ interest in these unique cultures, the Nations magazine highlights the outstanding contribution of the Association’s members in a high-quality format that celebrates Indigenous communities throughout Canada.
Strategy
With an eye to the future, the ITAC and Maison 1608 decided to create an English edition on paper and a French online edition. This new version of Nations showcases the drive of Indigenous companies and organizations and gives the communities a means to promote their tourist attractions at a time when interest in Indigenous cultures is flourishing.
