In addition to broadening its range of services, Solisco is at the same time announcing YQB Média founder Anne-Marie Boissonnault's appointment to its management committee as Vice-President, Content Development. "In eight years, Anne-Marie has built a real success story. Thanks to the reputation for excellence her team is now renowned for in the world of publishing, Solisco will be able to work with YQB to develop new business opportunities and offer its many clients high value-added solutions before printing," comments Alain Jacques.

We’re celebrating 7 years in the business!

Québec City, Québec – Seven years ago we had the bold idea of starting up a publishing company of our own. In 2008, the print business was—let’s be honest—swimming against the digital tide. But custom publishing was a big part of the market outside of Canada, and this creative approach to marketing had seldom been taken in Québec. 

We wanted to make this multi-layered and personalized service available to Québec businesses and brands, giving them this creative and personal tool to reach out to and win over their customers. And our vision was to turn brands into high-quality creative content, to create gorgeous magazines and strike up a new conversation between brands and consumers. 

Most companies don’t make it through their first 5 years in the business. We’ve reached 7 years with plenty of pride and ambition, now in our brand-new offices in downtown Québec City, always with one eye on the world. 

Seven years—and eighty-something magazines—later, we’re more eager than ever to appeal to, inspire, and generally sweep clients, readers, and consumers off their feet. 

Seven years later, we’re more eager than ever to explore all the possibilities of content marketing, both in paper and electronic form.

SNOW Magazine Re-launches; Joins YQB Media

SNOW owner Barbara Sanders partners with Anne-Marie Boissonnault of YQB Media to re-introduce the luxury alpine lifestyle magazine.

ASPEN, CO — February 21, 2013 — Two achievers in the ski publishing realm have joined forces.

Following Bonnier Corp.’s January decision to divest itself of SNOW — a high-end magazine focused on alpine adventure, style, and lavish winter retreats — SNOW founder Barbara Sanders opted to take over the title to keep it alive. Moved by her passion for the magazine and its uniquely rich, fabulous content, Sanders has turned to long-time ski industry publisher Anne-Marie Boissonnault to direct the magazine’s new editorial and production via Boissonnault’s Canada-based publishing company, YQB Media. Long-time ski journalist and editor Lori Knowles will act as managing editor, and will continue to work with prize-winning writers from around the world.

“I had to buy SNOW to keep the passion and celebration of this lifestyle alive,” Sanders says. “I live for great skiwear, and I love travelling the world to experience its top resorts. I’ve spent my entire life in the snow, and through SNOW I can shine a spotlight on the amazing brands, resorts, and people that make the ski world so unique.” 

Of her new partnership, Sanders says: “Anne-Marie Boissonnault and her team at YQB Media are dream matches for me. I will be able to work with the best and most respected names in the industry and know that they will continue SNOW’s standard of excellence, as well as help SNOW reach new heights.”

The new generation of SNOW will be published twice per year — late September (Winter), and mid-December (High Season) — to cover the main buying periods in ski retail and top planning periods for ski holidays. The first edition of the new SNOW will appear in September 2013.

“SNOW’s content will continue to focus on alpine skiing’s luxury lifestyle,” confirms Boissonnault, whose high-end YQB Media titles include magazines for Canada’s Groupe Germain Hospitality, Nordica Canada and Le Massif de Charlevoix. “When it comes to ski travel, we will continue to feature the best destinations in the world, from the ‘below-the-radar’ to the ‘over-the-top.’ But we will also enhance SNOW’s content with creative features on lifestyle, fashion, gear, and of course, the ski world’s most fascinating people.”

Circulation of the new SNOW will be 40 000 copies per edition. The magazine will be circulated in an exclusive network that includes high-end resorts and top ski retailers across the United States and Canada. Sanders is also working to enhance the publication’s online strategy with a re-launch of both the magazine’s sister site, 

TheSnowMag.com and the SNOW mobile App. SNOW’s website and mobile App will expand to include year-round lifestyle content focused on the world’s top mountain towns.


From its base in Aspen, Colorado, SNOW Magazine delves into the life, lifts and luxury of alpine skiing. Features focus on the sumptuous lifestyle of the sport, including lodging, gear, fashion, first tracks, and dining. Owner Barbara Sanders is dedicated to the authenticity and “insider insights” that are critical to the SNOW reader’s mountain experience. 


YQB Media is a Quebec-based publisher whose magazine titles include Chic for Groupe Germain Hospitality, Nordica Magazine and Blizzard-Tecnica’s The White Book for Tecnica Group Canada, and Sens for Le Massif de Charlevoix. Owner Anne-Marie Boissonnault spent 10 years helming Ski Press magazine and SkiPressWorld.com before founding YQB Media. Boissonnault was honored as the Outdoor Women’s Coalition’s Pioneering Woman of the Year in 2007.
